Krakus Luncheon Club at Polish & Slavic Center is funded by the City of New York, under contract with Department for The Aging (DFTA).

Everyday, approximately 130 seniors attend our Club, which is located on 176 Java Street, in Greenpoint. They come to eat a balanced meal and spend time in a friendly environment. Lunch consists of soup, main dish and dessert. The menu is designed by seniors with help of club employees and approved by nutritionist from DFTA.

Krakus activity is not limited to serving the meals. We also conduct educational and recreational activities. Seniors come here to play chess, cards, domino, bingo, to read newspapers, to watch a movie, to sing in a choir and many, many more. Twice a week seniors meet for ESL classes. Once a month Club arranges for a birthday party with a cake, soft drinks, music and dance. A similar party is organized for Valentine Day, Christmas and Easter.
