“Morris Hirshfield Rediscovered”

Krakus Senior Center’s members attended the wonderful “Morris Hirshfield Rediscovered” exhibition at the American Folk Art Museum in Manhattan. Courtesy of Elisabeth Gronke, an art therapist who collaborates with the museum, seniors had a chance to explore amazing artwork as part of a private tour. The history of the Polish-Jewish immigrant who started his art journey at the age of 65 impressed all the attendees. At the end of the tour, Krakus’ members together with Elizabeth Gronek and Krakus’ coordinator, Zuza Dabrowicz, discussed their thoughts and feelings about Morris Hirshfield’s artwork.

We would like to thank the American Folk Art Museum for their warm welcome and Elizabeth Gronke for the wonderful tour!
