“Magic of Polish Christmas” is a vocal and poetry recital that combines beautiful Polish Christmas Poems with Polish Christmas Carols to bring the spirit of the Polish Christmas Eve, Wigilia. The program includes the works of priest Jan Twardowski, Leopold Staff, Marian Hemar Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński and Jan Kasprowicz. We will hear the carols known to all of us from our childhood, “Hush little Jesus”, “As the Lovely Maiden”, “God is born” and many more.
This recital is one of a series of performances entitled “Poland Painted with Poetry and Songs” which is part of the project “Vocal and Music Seniors Retreat”. It is one of the events to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Polish & Slavic Center. This performance is in Polish.
