Krakus Senior Center representatives together with Polish and Slavic Center directors celebrated the 78thanniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising at the Polish and Slavic Federal Credit Union. At 11AM, the anniversary of “W” Hour, the Polish flag with so-called anchor, a symbol of the Polish Underground State during World War II was raised in front of the headquarters of the Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union and will remain for the next 63 day as a reminder of events in 1944. Many Polish organizations participated in the celebration of the yearly anniversary commemorating fighters and victims of the Warsaw Uprising. Lastly, the guest of honor, Consul General of the Republic of Poland Adrian Kubicki delivered a moving speech.
