Unforgettable trip to the Archive of the La Mama Theater

January 31 JP2 Friendship Center operating at the Polish and Slavic Center
took a trip to the archives of the legendary La Mama Experimental theater.
The guide for our group was the Director himself: Ozzie Rodriguez.
It was another collaboration of the JP2 Friendship Center OAC with the nearby La Mama theater.
We are very grateful to the entire theater team and crew.
Thank you for sharing your collections with us and presenting all the history of the theatre and
its immigrants element including ethnic Polish communi ty.
It is worth recalling that the director and founder, Ellen Stewart, received the highest honor Gloria Artis Gold Medal
in 2009 for her contribution to the promotion of Polish culture. We could also admire posters from the times of
performances of Tadeusz Kantor's plays. We share a photo report from this trip.
Thank you for allowing our older adults to experience that spectacular place.
