Concert on Women’s Day at the Krakus Senior Club

On Friday, March 8, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, a ceremonial concert of the Krakus Choir took place at the Krakus Senior Club operating in the Polish Slavic Center in Greenpoint. An introductory speech about the tradition of the celebrations and the presenter was Waldemar Ostrowski.
The Krakus Choir, conducted by Katarzyna Drucker, sang several songs, all dedicated to women: “A song for Women’s Day”, words by Anna Kucay, “For the health of ladies”, “Woman, Woman”, “Is it a single woman or a married woman”, “A girl from Krakus “, “Don’t hit a woman even with a flower.” Poems for the ladies were recited by the following gentlemen: Stanisław Kulczycki, Tadeusz Nowak, Stanisław Piekut and Krzysztof Zieliński. Accompanied by Ola Watras. The beautiful decoration of the stage was the work of Zofia Wiszniewska and Waldemar Ostrowski.
Then the men performing in the Krakus Choir gave all the ladies red carnations and there were also sweets. Everything was taken care of by the management of the Krakus Senior Club: Artur Pustuła – Program Director of the Club, Urszula Galej – Program Coordinator and Agata Forys – Social Worker.
At the end, all the ladies posed for a group photo.
