Thanks to the kind invitation from the Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, this year we have been able to return to the Brooklyn Borough Hall for the celebration of the Polish Heritage and the Polish Americans’ cultural and economic contributions to Brooklyn and the Greater New York Region.

The Polish and Slavic Center, which currently celebrates 50 years of service to the immigrant community, has proudly taken the lead in the organization of this year’s Polish Heritage Celebration at the Brooklyn Borough Hall, however we wouldn’t have done it without our generous co-sponsors:

The Polish American Veterans Association of America, District 2

The General Pulaski Memorial Parade Committee, Inc.

The Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences of America

The Polish Cultural Foundation of Clark, NJ

Solarz Brothers Printing Corporation

Kobo Music Studio

The North Brooklyn Development Corporation

The Polish Heritage Day is a perfect occasion to award outstanding leaders of the Polish American community who have been the engine of cultural initiatives, social activities, and economic innovation in our community.

This year’s honorees are:

DR Iwona Korga, the President and Executive Director of the Pilsudski Institute

Marian Zak – President of the Board of Directors of the Polish and Slavic Center, as well as the President and Founder of the New York Dance and Arts Innovations,

Zbigniew Solarz – Treasurer of the Polish and Slavic Center

Father Jozef Szpilski, a long time member of the Polish and Slavic Board of Directors

Performing during the celebration are: Greenpoint Children’s Choir, Krakowianki i Górale, Polish American Folk Dance Company, Chór Klubu Seniora Krakus oraz Jutrzenka Choir.
