Exhibition of the art works by Ewa Zeller at the Polish and Slavic Center in Brooklyn

“Flowers, Women and Angels” is a wonderful exhibition by Ewa Zeller that took place on February 24 at the Polish-Slavic Center in Booklyn. 44 works were presented that day. It was also the occasion to celebrate the 20th anniversary jubilee of artistic activity of Ewa. The host of the event was Jakub Polaczyk and the music that night was presented by Janusz Smulski, from Philadephia, who perfromed his own compositions to his lyrics both in Polish and English.

Ewa Zeller was born in Poland. In 1998 she graduated from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland with M.A. Degree in Museum Science and Preservation and Research of Historical Heritage, Department of Fine Arts. She completed the program “Urban Heritage and Monuments Preservation” at Warsaw Politechnics at Department of Architecture. She completed Post-Graduate Study in conservation of Historic Monuments of postgraduate thesis that were awarded and published by National Institute of Culture in Warsaw 2000. From 1987 to 2003 she worked at the State Office for Preservation and Research of Historical Monuments and Heritage in Bialystok, Poland. She was proficient in scientific research of history and present condition of cultural heritage, in preparation of national catalogues and she was participating in a few conferences about the Monuments Protection at the reign whole Poland and Germany.
Since 2003 she resides in the United States and preoccupied with painting.  She undertook studies of painting with various artists and at the PRATT Institute in  Brooklyn,
 School of Visual Arts – Chealse Arts, Council of Princeton. She works with oil, acrylic, pastel and exhibited primarily in New Jersey, next in Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New York. Her works can be found in private collections in U.S.A., in Foundation of John Paul II in Vatican City and Trenton Museum Society purchased one of them and also. Her first individual exhibit took place in Druch Studio Gallery in Trenton (NJ) February- March 2006
– and second in Skulski Art Gallery Clark in 17 October and November 2009 – then in PII Gallery in Philadelphia (PA) in December 2010 ( 3- 31).

Janusz Smulski is a Polish jazz pianist, music teacher based in NJ/PA. He is originally from Warsaw and emigrated to USA in 1981. Currently the member of the American band “Monte Carlo” and pianist of the Cabaret “Odlot”, during the event he presented tracks from his album “I am Blue” (2014).
