A Thank You to The Children’s Day Sponsors

Polish and Slavic Center would like to thank you for your contribution to the Children’s Day event that took place on June 3rd. On this special day, we were able to specially celebrate our youth and their Polish Heritage during this annual tradition. We brought smiles to many kids’ faces and that would not have been possible without you! On this day, we made sure to provide quality entertainment for children of all age groups, as well as for the parents of our wonderful children. A variety of activities were available for children to play and learn from such as dancing competitions, art stations where children could paint/color, and art challenges assisted by Professor Krzysztof Zacharow from Pratt Institute. Children also had face painting, a balloon animal station, a toy building station, and a favorite was the inflated bouncy castle. Besides the many interactive activities the children had, they were also entertained by live music from the Greenpoint Children’s Choir and with the appearance of Stan Borys. Stan Borys is a musical legend whose performance brought back many sweet memories for the older audience and inspired the youth – some of which even sang on stage with him! Guests were able to enjoy delicious bites like fresh cotton candy and popcorn while spending the day bonding with each other and their families. On top of this, everyone had a chance to try their luck in a prize lottery organized by us, winning amazing gifts like a flight to Poland with LOT Airlines and many toys for children that were provided by sponsors. Among the amazing prizes purchased and donated for the children were bikes, Lego sets, scooters, and smart watches! Our next event will take place this month. These events are crucial when it comes to enhancing our culture and keeping our traditions alive. That is why we make sure each event is special in its own way and contributes to the lives of our guests and patrons, and why we aim to leave our guests with unforgettable memories each time they are pleased to attend. Since 1972, it is our mission to empower Polish and Slavic immigrants and undeserved local New York communities by providing social and legal assistance and to promote the rich culture and heritage of Poland and other Slavic countries. Through these various cultural experiences, we connect communities and generations while contributing to the rich diversity of New York City and State, a main reason for the founding of Polish and Slavic Center in the first place. We sincerely thank you for all your contributions that continue to make occasions like this possible.
