Photos from the Kids’ Ball 2023

Young and older, we all had a great time at the Kids’ Ball organized by the Polish and Slavic Center on January 22, 2023! The event featured games and music by DJ Wojtek, a magician show, a clown with balloons, fairy tale characters, face painting by Ewa Maria Węglarz, and a raffle with valuable prizes including bikes sponsored by the Platta Law Firm and a gift certificate for a kids’ party.

We also had a surprise for adults – a raffle with the main prize: PLL LOT air ticket! The lucky winner was Lucyna Zynda who will be able to travel to Poland for free this year.

Many thanks to our generous sponsors: The Platta Law FirmPulaski Association of Business and Professional Men Inc., Kids’ Fun House, Arthur Dybanowski, Andrzej Natkaniec, Ewa Jaczyński, and Jolanta Długowska (Duo Life).

The PSC is also grateful to the Board Members: President Marian Zak, secretary Bożena Konkiel, vice-president Paweł Pachacz, and director Artur Dybanowski, as well as to all the members of staff including Executive Director Agnieszka Granatowska for their participation and help in organizing the Kids’ Ball. Many thanks also to all the volunteers and the Krakus kitchen staff for preparing delicious snacks.

Save the date for the next big event for children. An annual celebration of International Children’s Day is planned in early June.

With the youngest members in mind, the Polish and Slavic Center also offers year-round painting classes “Little Picasso” with prof. Christopher Zacharow as well as the Greenpoint Children’s Choir. The choir, led by Kerri Thompson and Nicholas Kaponyas, meets every Wednesday from 4:45 PM to 5:45 PM at 177 Kent Street. The new semester starts on January 25, 2023.
