Hello Spring!

On April 30th, at Krakus Senior Center PSC, part of the Polish and Slavic Center , we joyfully and creatively welcomed the long-awaited arrival of spring!
During our Spring Hat Show, we had the pleasure of admiring the unique creations made by participants of our talented KRAKUS Art Class, under the artistic guidance and inspiring direction of the incomparable Agnieszka Nowinska Art.
The artists from this group who performed that day – Maria Barbara Conrad, Grażyna Mieżgiel, Władysław Mieżgiel, Zdzisława Kuszewska, Waldemar Ostrowski, and Sabina Dubois – presented their unique visions of spring, full of colors, imagination, and artistic passion.
This special event was organized in collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York as part of the Art MET Box project, which provides our seniors with creative inspiration and opportunities for artistic expression.
In addition to the artists presenting their beautifully handcrafted and decorated hats, other seniors from our Center proudly joined in, showcasing their own spring creations and hats with joy and pride.
The celebration was further enriched by poems and songs about spring, which our participants prepared with love – filling the room with laughter, warmth, and positive energy.
Joy, colors, and creative spirit have truly found their home in Krakus – this is how we welcome the new season!
Welcome, Spring! We’re so happy you’ve finally here!
