On April 18th, seniors at Krakus Senior center, part of the Polish and Slavic Center, gathered for a joyful and traditional Easter celebration.
The event began with the blessing of Easter baskets by Pastor Grzegorz Markulak and Father Józef Szpilski – a touching and meaningful moment for all.
The Krakus Choir, under the direction of Kasia Drucker, performed beautifully and brought festive spirit to the celebration.
One of the most heartwarming highlights was the contest for the most beautiful Easter basket. The winner, Mrs. Maria Kordal, handmade her basket from dough, baked it, and decorated it in a traditional style. Her creation amazed everyone – it was truly a work of art!
The celebration gathered a large group of seniors, filling the room with joy, conversations, and smiles. Representatives of the Board of Directors of the Polish & Slavic Center were also present and offered warm Easter wishes to all attendees.
Our amazing kitchen staff prepared a delicious Easter meal: traditional sour rye soup with egg (żurek) and fish in tomato sauce. The food was praised by everyone – as always, the Krakus kitchen delivered excellence!
It was a wonderful day full of tradition, warmth, and community. Thank you to everyone who joined us in this joyful celebration!
