Seniors from Krakus Senior Center Enjoy a Delightful Visit to “Pierożek” at the Invitation of Council Member Lincoln Restler.

On June 2nd, seniors from the Krakus Senior Center, part of the Polish and Slavic Center had the pleasure of participating in a special event – a shared lunch at the popular and beloved Pierozek restaurant in Greenpoint. The gathering was organized with the initiative and invitation of Brooklyn Council Member Lincoln Restler, who wished to thank the local senior community for their presence, engagement, and contributions to the life of the neighborhood. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, over traditional Polish dishes such as pierogi and stuffed cabbage (gołąbki), the seniors spent a lovely afternoon filled with conversations, smiles, and shared memories. This event was not only a gesture of appreciation toward the older generation but also an opportunity to strengthen intergenerational ties and build meaningful connections between local leaders and community members.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Council Member Restler for his thoughtful invitation and remembrance for our community, as well as to his team for the wonderful organization of this beautiful event!
Our sincere appreciation also goes to the “Pierożek” restaurant and its entire staff for their warm hospitality, friendly service, and delicious food that brought so much joy to our seniors!
