On Tuesday, March 4th, at JP2 Friendship Center, we celebrated Mardi Gras, a traditional American holiday known as “Fat Tuesday.” It is a joyful time filled with colorful parades and music, especially popular in New Orleans.
During our gathering, we watched a live stream of the celebrations in Louisiana and enjoyed a delicious King Cake, generously gifted by one of our members. This festive cake is adorned with gold, green, and purple icing, symbolizing faith, justice, and power.
Mardi Gras is not only a time for fun but also the last day of Carnival before Lent. We are delighted to have shared this wonderful tradition together!
