On February 10th, Krakus Senior Center PSC, operating under The Polish & Slavic Center (PSC), hosted a unique photography exhibition by Grażyna Benkowska, titled “The World Seen Through the Eyes of Grażyna Benkowska.” It was an inspiring event that attracted both art enthusiasts and those passionate about travel.
Grazyna Benkowska is a versatile artist – a painter and photographer who passionately captures the beauty of the world around us. Her photographs are not only visually striking but also filled with emotions and personal memories. During the exhibition, she enthusiastically shared stories about the creation of each piece, recounting her experiences from numerous journeys she took with her husband. Her engaging narrative allowed the audience to see the photographs not just as images but as fragments of a larger story – a record of places, people, and moments that moved her.
The exhibition featured a diverse collection of works, from majestic landscapes to lively snapshots of everyday life in different corners of the world. Each photograph had its own background and context, sparking conversations among the attendees, who eagerly asked questions and shared their impressions. This gathering became an opportunity for reflection on how diverse, yet universally beautiful, our world is.
We extend our gratitude to Grażyna Benkowska for sharing her talent and experiences. Her work not only showcased extraordinary places but also served as a reminder of the importance of observing the world carefully – both the distant and the one right next to us. This exhibition will surely leave a lasting impression on its participants, and we hope it will not be the last time we experience her art at our center.
