Join Us for the “Flowers for Kościuszko” Ceremony – October 13th on the Kosciuszko Bridge Bike Road (Maspeth Side)

WE INVITE YOU!!!

OCT. 13 3:00 pm

The ceremony to honor Tadeusz Kościuszko on the 207th anniversary of his death will take place on the Kosciuszko Bridge in New York. Two years ago, a memorial was unveiled there in his memory, and a year ago, our Good Polish School Foundation launched the “Flowers for Kosciuszko” campaign. Thanks to the support of Polonia’s friend NYS Assembly Member Steven Raga, this campaign was honored with New York State Legislation Assembly Resolution No. 2129. This year, as before, we invite you with flowers and wreaths to show that we remember the hero of two nations. The Kościuszko Bridge is already the newest New York bridge, over which 120,000 cars pass every day. For those who know the name of the bridge but do not know who Kościuszko was, we want to present its history and contribution to the victory of the American Revolution. Let’s meet together under the beautiful Kosciuszko Plaques, hang flowers and wreaths for him and take souvenir photos, raising a toast to Kosciuszko. We invite you with artificial flowers so that Polish colors can enrich the Kosciuszko Bridge and the wonderful “Tadeusz Kosciuszko Commemorative Plaques for” as long as possible.

There are two entrances to the path for pedestrians, which leads to “Commemorative Plaques of Tadeusz Kościuszko”. From Greenpoint and Maspeth.

The closest is from Maspeth from the intersection of 54 RD. and Laurel Hill Blvd.
