The JP2 Friendship Center operating at the Polish-Slavic Center in Manhattan was awarded
by the Commissioner of the New York Department of Aging, Mrs. Lorraine A. Cortés-Vázquez.
The month of September is a special month in the United States because it celebrates older adults citizens.
There are many events for the elderly population in New York City in September.
The John Paul 2 Friendship Center was also honored for its activities for older people in Manhattan.
