Black Month Celebration jazz concert with Stacy Dillard

Stacy Dillard, saxophone player was raised in Muskegon Heights, Michigan.
Stacy graduated from the college at Central State University in Wilberforce,
Ohio and Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. Wynton Marsalis in
Dayton, Ohio inspired him to move to NYC who said: “Hey man, this
(censored) can play. This MF can PLAY!" Wynton Marsalis

Stacy was settled first in Cincinnati, where he made his first recordings. Since
moving to New York he has recorded multiple albums and appeared on over
forty. Just to name some of it were: Cyrus Chestnut, Captain Black Big Band,
Eric Revis, Winard Harper, Wycliffe Gordon and many others. Dillard is
currently well known saxophonist in the local jazz scene in NYC

The  concert at the JP2 Friendship Center in
Manhattan on February 25, marking the end of the Black Month
Celebration and presented some themes of the early back American

jazz players and jazz standards of: John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk.
